A little boy is selling preserved eggs and balut as snacks on a car ferry in Cambodia on this week’s postcard. Balut is a southeast Asian specialty, a half-bred egg with a little embryo in it. From the outside, it looks like a normal egg. It is said to be a strong aphrodisiac. I did not try it anyway.
